Riverside Area Youth Soccer League would not exist if it weren't for volunteers. We are a non-profit club run COMPLETELY by the efforts of parents and volunteers.
All parents are charged a $60 volunteer fee which is refunded after fulfilling volunteer duties, though parents or guardians may pay the opt-out fee and choose not to volunteer for the program. Most volunteers choose to help to run the Snack Shack for one hour during the season. The Snack Shack is open each Saturday from 9 - 12:30 and Sundays from 12:30 - 5:30, travel schedule dependent. Alternatively, parents can choose one volunteer position from the categories listed below.
Our recent record player registrations have pushed our total players over 250 registered players and increased our travel team count by four. As you can imagine, with this many players it takes many volunteers to make this league successful each year. For this season alone, RAYSL will need the following:
- Over 35 volunteer coaches
- Between 8-12 referees
- 60 concessions volunteers
When registering your child this season, please consider volunteering, rather than simply paying the volunteer fee. We need help in all areas: coaching, concessions, refereeing, team parents and even painting lines.
